The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Board Room of the Hannah Administration Building.
Following are several items the board will consider.
- The adoption of new basic residence hall room-and-board rates.
- A proposal to create the Plant Resilience Institute, a new unit to organize MSU research in the area of plant stress.
- Authorization to plan for renovations of the Engineering Research Complex to accommodate an expansion of the Fraunhofer Center for Coatings and Diamond Technologies.
- The appointment of Gary Hoppenstand as secretary for academic governance.
Other agenda items include reports from the president and board chairman, a gifts and grants report, presentation of the Board of Trustees’ Scholarship Award recipients, and presentation of the annual Diversity and Inclusion Report.
