Activities will take place in the Main Gallery.

    • Marsha MacDowell, curator of the exhibit, will lead an informal tour of the exhibition and talk about the forthcoming associated publication.
  • Talk on “Exploring the impact of heritage policies on newer eco-museums in Guangxi, China”
    • 3 p.m.
    • Carrie Hertz, curator of textiles and costume, Museum of International Folk Art, Santa Fe, is currently part of a group of U.S. and China museum-based professionals exploring aspects of China’s intangible cultural heritage practices and policies.

    • Take-away projects that reflect designs, tools and processes associated with making quilts in Southwest China.
