The MSU College of Nursing is partnering with the MSU Alumni Association, AARP Michigan and Sparrow Health System to help family caregivers better understand new legislation that supports and better equips them when their loved one enters the hospital.
The free educational event will be held at the College of Nursing’s Bott Building from 6 – 8 p.m. on July 20. Experts and caregivers will lead a discussion and share information on how the new law could impact families.
The legislation, known as the CARE Act, was recently passed by the Michigan Legislature and will take effect in July.
