The following are Wharton Center events throughout the end of Nov. 2015.

The National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China: “Peking Dreams”

Oct. 22

7:30 p.m., Wharton Center, Cobb Great Hall

“Peking Dreams” gives audiences a look at a different aspect of Beijing culture and history in each scene. From trapeze tricks, to bicycle stunts, to grand martial arts, the acrobats will soar and tumble across the stage while sharing their great love of The Forbidden City.

The National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China was invited to perform “Peking Dreams” at the 2008 Olympic Art Festival in Beijing, an event meant to entertain athletes and visitors.

An Evening With Kristin Chenoweth

Oct. 25

7 p.m., Wharton Center, Cobb Great Hall

Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth comes to Wharton Center for the first time. In her live show, the acclaimed star brings iconic songs from her best-known shows like “Wicked,” “Glee,” and “On the Twentieth Century” – as well as popular standards and classics from Broadway, Hollywood and beyond.

Twyla Tharp Dance

Nov. 3

7:30 p.m., Wharton Center, Cobb Great Hall

Twyla Tharp Dance returns to Wharton Center to celebrate their 50th anniversary. In each premiere, Tharp turns her decades of experience- dances for Hollywood films, television and the Broadway stage- into imaginative dances. An insight preview will be occurring before the performance at 6:45 p.m. and a chat will directly follow the performance.

Dirty Dancing- The Classic Story on Stage

7:30 p.m. on Nov. 10-Nov. 12

8 p.m. on Nov. 13

2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 14

1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 15

The live experience of "Dirty Dancing" includes music, romance and dancing. Seen by millions across the globe, the love story features the hit songs “Hungry Eyes,” “Hey Baby,” “Do You Love Me?” and “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.”
