Monthly Bird and Coffee walks at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary offer an opportunity for adults to learn about the variety of birds that can be found in the sanctuary. Each of the walks are from 9 to 10:30 am and are free for members.
The program runs:
• June 10
• July 8
• Aug. 12
• Sept. 9
Wild Wednesdays, a summer program designed to teach young children 3 to 6 and their families about nature through fun, hands-on activities, returns to the sanctuary this summer.
Each program includes a meet-and-greet, a short walk on an easy trail and the chance to make a craft to take home. The 2015 schedule includes:
• June 24: Birds, Birds, Birds!
• July 8: Bald Eagle Exploration
• July 22: Investigating Insects
• Aug. 5: Duck, Duck, Goose!
• Aug. 19: Whoo, Whoo, Whoo, Are We?
Wild Wednesdays begin at 7 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
