TEDxMSU features 'The Will' of Spartans

Those looking for an evening of inspiration and dialogue focusing on "The Will" of Spartans across campus don't need to look any further.

On Wednesday, March 4, TEDxMSU will take place at Michigan State University's Wharton Center Cobb Great Hall starting at 6 p.m. and will feature an incredible lineup of presenters who each hold a different perspective on what “The Will” means to them.

In addition, attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with the innovations presented and network at an afterglow event held in the Wharton Center's Jackson Lounge. For those who cannot attend in person, a livestream provided by the MSU Alumni Association will be available, as well as Youtube recordings of the presentations.

“TEDx events are taking the world by storm and this conference is the realization of a long-term dream of the organizers and many members of the Spartan community,” said Irene Li, TEDxMSU student curator. “Fascinating projects and innovations with their roots in East Lansing are everywhere and we think it's important that we kindle and continue those conversations.”

TEDxMSU is a collaboration between MSU students, alumni, faculty and friends, as well as the larger East Lansing community. The independently produced event, operated under a license from TED, was organized by student volunteers and will feature interdisciplinary presenters, primarily those from the MSU community, expressing their past experiences, current projects and future visions to promote inquiry and critical discussion.

Tickets are available online. Afterglow tickets are also available.

The event is sponsored by the Honors College, Alumni Association, Spartan Innovations and the Residence Halls Association.
