Students earn 2015 Board of Trustees’ Awards

At the April 17 Board of Trustees meeting, 36 students were recognized with Board of Trustees’ Awards for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester in attendance at Michigan State University.

They all received a 4.0 GPA.

The students also will be recognized at their spring commencements May 8-10.

Following is the list of awardees.

Ryan Austin of Ada. Austin is an environmental engineering major in the College of Engineering and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Forest Hills Eastern High School.

Lauren Ballard of Novi. Ballard is an accounting major in The Eli Broad College of Business and a graduate of Novi High School.

Emily Biernat of Utica. Biernat is a genomics and molecular genetics major in the College of Natural Science and a graduate of Utica High School.

Rachel Brock of Grosse Pointe. Brock is a physiology major in the College of Natural Science and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School.

Kaitlyn Bunyak of Canton. Bunyak is an accounting major in The Eli Broad College of Business and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Canton High School.

Deanna Christy of Fort Collins, Colorado. Christy is an advertising major in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Fossil Ridge High School.

Victoria Clausen of Valparaiso, Indiana. Clausen is a psychology major in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Valparaiso High School.

Brian Crackel of Mason. Crackel is a social science education major in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Mason High School.

Colleen Drabek of Saint Johns. Drabek is a human biology major in the College of Natural Science and a graduate of Saint Johns High School.

Holly Drankhan of Clarkston. Drankhan is a zoology major in the Lyman Briggs College and a graduate of Clarkston Senior High School.

Hassan Fadel of Beverly Hills. Fadel is a neuroscience major in the Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Detroit Country Day School.

Stacey Forton of Caledonia. Forton is a neuroscience major in the College of Natural Science and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Caledonia High School.

Patrick Furlo of Clarkston. Furlo is a music education major in the College of Music and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Clarkston Senior High School.

Thomas Heuser of Brighton. Heuser is a materials science and engineering major in the College of Engineering and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Brighton High School.

Mallory Hoffman of Williamston. Hoffman is a packaging major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Williamston High School.

Andrew Johnson of Chelsea. Johnson is a supply chain management major in The Eli Broad College of Business and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Chelsea High School.

Lynne Krutty of Canton. Krutty is a Spanish major in the College of Arts and Letters and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Salem High School.

Lauren Link of Sturgis. Link is a professional writing major in the College of Arts and Letters and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Sturgis High School.

Megan Maas of Marquette. A member of the Honors College, Maas is majoring in hospitality business in The Eli Broad College of Business. She is a graduate of Marquette Senior High School.

Rebecca Monticello of Midland. A member of the Honors College, Monticello is majoring in human biology in the College of Natural Science. She is a graduate of Herbert Henry Dow High School.

Minh Pham of Ha Noi, Vietnam. A member of the Honors College, Pham is majoring in computer science in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School.

Alanna Powers of Lincoln Park. Powers is an education major in the College of Education. She is a graduate of Gabriel Richard High School.

Zachary Reilly of Sterling Heights. A member of the Honors College, Reilly is majoring in human biology in the College of Natural Science. He is a graduate of Stevenson High School.

Madeline Ross of Farmington Hills. A member of the Honors College, Ross is majoring in genomics and molecular genetics in the Lyman Briggs College. She is a graduate of Mercy High School.

Katherine Sadler of Grand Rapids. A member of the Honors College, Sadler is majoring in marketing in The Eli Broad College of Business. She is a graduate of Forest Hills Northern High School.

Christine Scales of Rockford. A member of the Honors College, Scales is majoring in professional writing in the College of Arts and Letter. She is a graduate of Rockford Senior High School.

Stephanie Schmidt of Wheaton, Illinois. A member of the Honors College, Scales is majoring in mathematics in the Lyman Briggs College. She has a second degree in chemistry in the College of Natural Science, and a third degree in environmental sciences and management in the Lyman Briggs College. She is a graduate of Wheaton Warrenville South High School.

Kyle Sherman of Grand Rapids. A member of the Honors College, Sherman is majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of Forest Hills Central High School.

Samantha Sokan of Tonawanda, New York. Sokan is majoring in accounting in The Eli Broad College of Business. She is a graduate of Kenmore East Senior High School.

Paul Stanos of Midland. A member of the Honors College, Stanos is majoring in computer science in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of Herbert Henry Dow High School.

John Suddard-Bangsund of Monticello, Minnesota. A member of the Honors College, Suddard-Bangsund is majoring in materials science and engineering in the College of Engineering. He has a second degree in interdisciplinary humanities in the College of Arts and Lettters. He graduated from Monticello High School.

Luan Tran of Th Phu Yen, Vietnam. Tran is majoring in computer science in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of Luong Van Chanh High School.

Tyler Vuillemot of DeWitt. A member of the Honors College, Vuillemot is majoring in general management in The Eli Broad College of Business. He is a graduate of DeWitt High School.

David Wegscheid of Saint Joseph. A member of the Honors College, Wegsheid is majoring in advanced mathematics in the College of Natural Sciences. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph High School.

Emma Winn of Hartland. A member of the Honors College, Winn is majoring in supply chain management in The Eli Broad College of Business. She is a graduate of Hartland High School.

David Zoltowski of West Lafayette, Indiana. A member of the Honors College, Zoltowski is majoring in electrical engineering in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of West Lafayette High School.
