Students compete in global MBA challenge

A team of four graduate students has submitted a solution in the 2015 Nespresso Sustainability MBA Challenge. Nestlé Nespresso challenges students from all over the globe to produce new ideas for its Creating Shared Value Strategy.

The team of graduate students includes Ruth Ann Church, Jillian Peters, Gaurav Jain and Roshan Vaidyanathan. The competition is intended to provide a real-world experience for students that will encourage competition, professionalism and interaction by future business leaders.

The MSU team submitted its answer to this year’s case in mid-February. There are two rounds of elimination before three final teams are chosen. The final teams will present their solutions at Nestle’s headquarters in Switzerland. The winning team will be invited to visit Costa Rica to tour coffee plantations and coffee processing factories and meet farmers and other stakeholders who will talk about the impact of the Nespresso Sustainability program.
