MSU Museum's 2015 Great Lakes Folk Festival Aug. 7-9

Downtown East Lansing is set for three days of art, music and fun.

MSU Museum’s Great Lakes Folk Festival will take place Aug. 7-9. The event will showcase cultural treasures of the Midwest, along with the best of traditional artists from around the country.

The award-winning Great Lakes Folk Festival is a celebration of culture, tradition and community. The festival is presented by the MSU Museum, Michigan’s first Smithsonian affiliate. The MSU Museum’s Michigan Traditional Arts Program researches, documents, preserves and presents heritage and cultural expressions.

Festival financial support comes from the City of East Lansing, MSU Office of the Provost, University Outreach and Engagement, the National Endowment for the Arts and other MSU departments. Nearly 100 corporations, foundations, organizations and individual donors also support the festival annually.
