The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Board Room of the Hannah Administration Building.
Following are several items the board will consider.
- Authorization to proceed with a major renovation/expansion project on the Breslin Student Events Center.
- Authorization for the university to negotiate and execute a lease for space in a Detroit location that will be used for MSU’s role in the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation.
- Authorization to proceed with renovations and an addition at the Engineering Research-Hulett Road facility to house the Food Processing and Innovation Center.
- Authorization to plan for the addition of new on-campus space that will house much of MSU’s teaching and research activities related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM.
In addition, the board will receive reports from the president and board chairman; the gifts, grants and contracts report; and consider several personnel items.
