Live Nation presents: Bill Maher at Wharton Center

Comedian, best-selling author, talk show host and political commentator Bill Maher is coming to Wharton Center for one night only, Oct. 10.

For the last 18 years, Maher has set the boundaries of where funny, political talk can go on American television. First on “Politically Incorrect,” and for the last seven years on HBO’s “Real Time,” Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs have garnered him 21 Emmy nominations.

In October of 2008, this same combination was on display in Maher’s uproarious and unprecedented swipe at organized religion, “Religious,” directed by Larry Charles. The documentary has gone on to become the seventh highest grossing documentary ever. His book, “The New Rules,” hit bookstores in 2011.

With a television career that spans decades and a host of film credits to his name, Maher has changed the game on political commentators and the power they hold in the media. His talk at Wharton Center will be one many won’t soon forget.

Tickets are on sale now and are available at the official source to purchase Wharton Center teickets online, whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office and by calling 1-800-WHARTON.
