Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center employee Ryan Hemingsen was recognized as the Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association’s 2015 Student Star of the Year.
Hemingsen has been employed at the Kellogg Center since August 2013, starting out at the front desk before receiving several promotions that led to positions such as front office lead trainer and housekeeping management intern.
“The thing that I enjoy most about working at the Kellogg is meeting all of the new people, whether they be guests or employees,” said Hemingsen. “I've found myself making more friends and connections than I would have ever expected, and that has broadened my outlook on all facets of life greatly.”
This spring, Hemingsen will serve as a research assistant to Dr. Mi Ran Kim, associate professor at The School of Hospitality Business, as he pursues a position with the D Las Vegas Casino Hotel.
