High school students can explore medical careers as OsteoCHAMPS

Current high school sophomores or juniors with an interest in health or medical careers can learn more about a program designed to introduce them to the profession of osteopathic medicine and life at Michigan State University.

On February 10, 2015, the College of Osteopathic Medicine is holding two, free webinars introducing prospective students to the OsteoCHAMPS program.

OsteoCHAMPS, or Osteopathic Careers in Health and Medical Professions, gives participants the chance to attend classes and take part in extracurricular activities while living in dormitories and meeting medical students and doctors. The 2015 program will be held July 11-19.

Students, parents, teachers or guidance counselors who want more information can get an advance look during the one-hour webinar either at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. that day.

To register for a free session, email Jessica Bilodeau by February 9.

Registration for this year's OsteoCHAMPS program is also open through March 1. To register for the summer program, visit the College of Osteopathic Medicine's website.
