Department of Art, Art History and Design upcoming events

The Department of Art, Art History and Design have several events taking place throughout the spring semester.

Annual Juried Foundations Exhibition

Jan. 26-Feb. 5, Kresge Art Center, galleries 101 and 114

This exhibition features student work from STA 110: Beginning Drawing, STA 112: Art + Design: Concepts and Practices, STA 113: Color and Design, and STA 114: Three-Dimensional Form. The Kresge Art Center Galleries are free and open to the public Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM.

Detroit Institute of Arts trip
Friday, March 27

For $20 students can spend a day at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Admission to the museum is free, and for an additional fee students can visit the special exhibition “Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in Detroit.” Students have until Feb. 17, 2015 to stop into the Kresge Art Center room 113 to reserve a seat. 2015 Master of Fine Arts Exhibition
April 10-April 26, Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum

An opening reception will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on April 10 and is free and open to the public.
