The Across Generations: Videofest will be holding a repception for the contest winners Feb. 21.
To enter the contest, young people submitted a five-minute videotaped conversation with an important elder of sixty years or older in their life.
The contest was organized by the 60/50 Elder Rights Team in honor of bringing people together to talk about the milestones in their lives. The contest provided a chance to bridge generations, build relationships and allow young people to learn more about an elder in their life.
The reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum. All entrants and their elders will be recognized and videos will be shown with a special screening of the winning entries. Additionally, Broad Museum galleries will be open for a private viewing. Hors d’oeuvres and light beverages will be served.
