Women's basketball escapes with 71-67 win over Wisconsin

The Michigan State women's basketball team held off Wisconsin on Thursday night for a 71-67 victory at the Breslin Center. The Spartan (14-7) remain alone in second place in the Big Ten at 6-2 at the midway point of conference play. Five Spartans scored in double digits in the balanced offense attack. This year, 35 students were recognized with Board of Trustees' Awards for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester in attendance at MSU. They all received a 4.0 GPA.
