Amy Klapko, fiscal officer for the Department of Theatre, said the MSU Auditorium is the perfect venue for the Haunted Aud because it is rumored that a young boy haunts the building.
Klapko helps the Society for Performers and Arts Managers make the Auditorium even more haunted by helping members purchase different items like props and costumes for the Haunted Aud.
“This is the most fun place to work because in what other department can you actually be working on your computer and come across blood that was ordered?” Klapko said.
Klapko oversees all of the finances in the Department of Theatre. She approves that all financial transactions have legitimate business purposes and that everything is recorded according to the university’s manual of business procedures.
“My favorite part of this job would be interacting with the people in the department and the kids that come in on a daily basis,” Klapko said. “They are a really gifted group of students.”
The Haunted Aud runs from 8 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 30 and 8 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 31.
