New trustee elected to Michigan 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees

Robert J. Johnson was elected to a two-year term as a Michigan 4-H Foundation trustee this summer.

Johnson is an Isabella County 4-H alumnus who serves as an internal audit manager for the MSU Federal Credit Union. He began his career as a staff accountant at Andrews Hooper Pavlik, PLC, in Okemos and joined the MSU Federal Credit Union in 2012 as a senior compliance auditor.

He also serves on the board of governors for the Lansing chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and is a member of the Michigan Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on MSU Federal Credit Union charity committees for support of Capital Area United Way and Help A Willing Kid (HAWK) and is a community volunteer for Special Olympics.

Michigan 4-H Foundation trustees are volunteers who manage foundation policies and operations and are community advocates for ongoing and increasing support for 4-H. They are also charged with overseeing the activities of foundation staff members and working on committees developed to facilitate foundation operations.

The Michigan 4-H Foundation owns and operates Kettunen Center, the state’s 4-H leadership training and conference center in Tustin. It also generates private support to operate and maintain the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens at MSU.
