MSU Travel Office offers travel processing class

The MSU Travel Office is offering a travel processing class for employees who are new to MSU travel policies, procedures and programs. The class is designed specifically for those who have been processing university business travel for less than one year.

Class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the Nisbet Building, room 10. Lunch is included. The cost is $25 per person.

Topics to be presented and discussed are:
• MSU travel contracts including air, car and hotel
• Travel authorizations and resources available to travelers and travel arrangers
• Travel reservation process including a review of services offered
• Travel reimbursement policies surrounding various types of travel expenditures and the importance of informing your travelers before they buy
• Per diem calculations
• Exchange rate explanations
• Completion of travel forms including cash advance requests, travel authorization and travel reimbursement

Preparation and processing of electronic documents in EBS as well as case studies will be incorporated in our discussions throughout the day.
