Grandparents University to take place June 24-26

More than 1,000 will be in attendance at this year's year’s Grandparents University, held June 24-26 at Michigan State University.

This program, geared toward kids ages 8 to 12 and their grandparents, offers three days of classes and activities that provide a campus experience for children and nostalgic memories for the grandparents.

Class content and activities are focused on the interests of the children. Participants can experience everything from an introductory yoga class, to a tour of the Broad Art Museum, to learning how to make biofuel out of soybeans. Most of these classes are taught by MSU faculty who volunteer for this event. Classes will be held across campus with Holmes Hall serving as headquarters for the event.

Grandparents University at MSU began in June 2006 as a joint initiative of the alumni associations from the College of Natural Science, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the School of Packaging.
