Enrollment now open for summer 2014 zombie apocalypse course

Zombies return to MSU this summer in the course "Disasters, Catastrophes, and Human Behavior: Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse."

This was the first college course in the country to have a movie-style trailer announce its arrival. Combining the most current academic research on disaster preparedness and response with an online catastrophic simulation event, students placed in small survivor groups will face challenges of being in an apocalypse together.

Offered through the School of Social Work, the course incorporates aspects of anthropology, sociology, geology and more to teach students about human behavior during catastrophic incidences.

The course is available to students at other universities, educators and members of the general public, through MSU's Lifelong Education program. Enrollment for the course is now open.
