To raise funds to support music education and music therapy for Greater Lansing residents of all ages, incomes and abilities, the MSU Community Music School is hosting Encore!, a fundraiser at 6 p.m Oct. 7 at the Huntington Club of Spartan Stadium.
CMS provides financial aid to more than 150 students annually. The fundraiser includes dinner, performances from CMS students including the MSU Children’s Choir and a silent auction. Tickets are $50 each or $300 for a table of eight. $25 of each ticket purchased or $100 of each table purchased is tax-deductible.
“It’s CMS’s mission to make music accessible to all. Music teaches life skills and builds community. Everyone should have access. We work to raise funds to make this a reality,” said director Jaime DeMott.
