College of Osteopathic Medicine to hold open house for prospective students

Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 21 in Fee Hall for prospective medical students.

The free event will allow attendees to learn what it is like to be a student in the college. They will have the chance to meet with faculty members and tour the facilities, including classrooms and labs, with current first- and second-year medical students.

Participants will also have the chance to learn about student organizations, financial aid, international travel opportunities, clinical rotations and graduate medical education. The Learning Assessment Center, a state-of-the-art facility where students are assessed on their learning in a real-world atmosphere, will also be open.

Upper-level undergraduates and others interested in pursuing medical school should come prepared to ask questions. Those who plan to attend the open house should be dressed in business attire.

There is no preregistration required. For more information, visit http://com.msu.edu/admissions.
