Accepting entries for global photo competition

Michigan State University's International Studies and Programs, in partnership with the MSU Alumni Association, is accepting entries to the 2014 international photo competition, Global Focus. Submissions are due Oct. 3.

The international photo contest recognizes MSU faculty, staff, students and alumni who have captured exceptional photographs while on work assignments, study abroad programs or during personal travels abroad.

Every fall, hundreds of entries are received and evaluated by a panel of jurors made up of a combination of MSU faculty and staff with photographic expertise and professional photographers or studio owners from the community. Global Focus has presented nearly 250 awards since its launch in 1999.

Entries must be taken outside of the United States by MSU faculty, staff, students or alumni. Winners are announced in November as part of International Education Week and displayed in a gallery in MSU’s International Center lobby, as well as on the ISP website and in the annual MSU International magazine.

An online gallery of previous winners is available on the website.
