The Knight Center for Environmental Journalism alumnus Brian Bienkowski has been recognized for excellence in reporting by the Society of Environmental Journalists.
Bienkowski, class of 2012, received second place in the beat reporting category for his work at Environmental Health News. His work had previously received the John B. Oakes Award, another award for environmental reporting.
Bienkowski’s work focuses on the environmental health of the Great Lakes region.
