MSU Bakers is supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Gwen’s Bagels for the fifth consecutive October. Gwen’s Bagels are pink, ribbon-shaped bagels with dried cranberries.
Every bagel is handmade and baked fresh daily by MSU Bakers' Rita Lyon. Lyon’s mother, Gwen, passed away from breast cancer in 1972.
Gwen’s Bagels are available through Oct. 31. They can be purchased at Sparty’s convenience stores located around campus, the MSU Bakers Farm Stand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays at The Rock near the MSU Auditorium or online.
Six bagels are available for $6.50, and $1 from every order is donated to the American Cancer Society.
The bakers hope to break their record of 800 dozen by the end of the month.
