CATA service changes to begin Aug. 26

CATA will implement the following route changes on Aug. 26 before students return to classes for the fall semester:

Route 1 - Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall-Slight time adjustments have been made to the Monday-through-Saturday schedule.

Route 16 - W. Lake Lansing Road/Eastwood Towne Center-Buses will travel on Abbey and Marfitt only on northbound trips before entering Meijer on Lake Lansing Road. At Meijer, Route 16 will board on the east side of the shelter area.

Route 20 - South Harrison/Jolly/Dunckel-Northbound buses will depart Spartan Village and Kellogg Center approximately 3 minutes earlier.

Route 22 - MSU/Haslett/Okemos-The route will travel in a clockwise direction between MSU, Haslett and Okemos. Buses will travel along Shaw Lane and not Service Road on MSU’ s campus. The route name has been adjusted to reflect the change in the routing.

Route 23 - MSU/Okemos/Haslett-The route will travel in a counterclockwise direction between MSU, Okemos and Haslett. Buses will travel along Shaw Lane and not Service Road on MSU’s campus. The route name has been adjusted to reflect the change in routing.

Route 25-North Harrison-The end-of-the-line point will be at Walmart in Eastwood Towne Center rather than Meijer on Lake Lansing Road.
Route 41-Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall, Limited-This route will no longer operate after Aug. 23.

Route 46 - Mason, Limited-The morning trip will depart all bus stops 5 minutes earlier.

Route 48 - Williamston/Webberville, Limited-The morning bus will no longer depart Meijer on South Pennsylvania.

Campus Service
As MSU’s campus service resumes Aug. 26, returning students, faculty and staff will notice changes to the following:

Route 31 - Brody/East Neighborhoods-Daytime and early evening buses, en route to Brody Neighborhood, will no longer travel along Circle Drive and Beal Street to Michigan Avenue. Rather, it will operate along Grand River Avenue to Michigan Avenue.

Route 39 - University Village/Spartan Village-Morning trips will run more frequently between 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. as buses will now depart every 13 minutes.
