Plants of Distinction workshop offered twice in February

To give Michigan gardeners the chance to learn about new varieties that they can add to their landscapes in 2012, Michigan State University Extension is offering a workshop called "Plants of Distinction" at two locations during February.

Landscape and garden designers, green industry professionals, Master Gardeners and others who are interested in gardening can attend the workshop, which will take place Feb. 9 at the Crowne Plaza at the Grand Rapids Airport and repeated Feb. 10 at the Crowne Plaza in Novi. It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both locations.

The registration fee at both locations is $75 per person, and includes lunch, refreshments and handouts. Registration is due Feb. 3. There is no registration at the door. MSU Extension Master Gardeners can earn six continuing education credits for attending this program.
