MSUE hosts small ruminant birth management clinic Feb. 11, 18

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Sheep and goat producers will learn how to better manage the birth period during the cold winter season in this education workshop taught by MSU Extension small ruminant specialist Richard Ehrhardt.

Participants will learn how to use nutrition management as a tool for preventing complications associated with birthing and how to assess maternal and newborn health.

The program will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 and 18 at a modern sheep birth facility located at 6280 Kinneville Road in Eaton Rapids.
