Michigan State University Department of Theatre presented "Legally Blonde." The musical production based on the film of the same name follows the story of Elle Woods, a fashion merchandising student determined to follow her former love, Warner, to Harvard Law School.
"Throughout the show she learns to be self-empowered and to trust herself," said director Rob Roznowski. "It's really about self-actualization."
The show was chosen because, according to Roznowski, it worked well to showcase the talents of the group of graduating seniors.
"It is quite fitting because the play ends with a graduation," said Roznowski. "It is really bittersweet having seen this group of actors and actresses grow individually and as a group for the past four years."
