Soccer earns seventh seed in NCAA tournament
MSU men’s soccer earned the No. 7 overall seed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, earning a first round bye. In the second round, the Spartans will host the winner of the first round game between Virginia Tech and Air Force at DeMartin Stadium at 1 p.m., Sun., Nov. 19.
Colley earns double-double in Spartan win over Oakland
Redshirt-sophomore guard Shay Colley was one assist shy of a triple-double as the Spartans stopped Oakland, 95-63, at the Breslin Center on Monday. With the win, MSU improved to 2-0 for the third-straight season.
No. 2 Michigan State beats North Florida, 98-66
Sophomore guard/forward Miles Bridges scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds to lead five players in double figures as No. 2 MSU beat North Florida, 98-66, in the season opener for both schools on Friday night at Breslin Center.
George wins No. 251 at MSU as Spartans sweep Northwestern
MSU head coach Cathy George became the winningest coach in program history, recording her 251st victory as the Spartan mentor with a 3-0 win (25-18, 26-24, 25-9) over visiting Northwestern on Saturday at Jenison Field House.
