Over the banks

The Red Cedar flows over the banks onto the pathway leading into the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden as flood waters reach 8.4 feet on April 8, 2017. Flood stage is 7.0 feet. Crews from MSU’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities are busy cleaning up campus. The focus remains on key areas including Old College Field and several areas along the River Trail.

Adam Lawver of Landscape Services said they are making progress and the next two to three weeks will remain very busy in preparation for graduation ceremonies and student move out. Power was cut and remains out at Kobs Field and a small field near the Auditorium to protect the transformers at those locations.
