Chris Adami: Design and Evolution

March 2, 2016

Chris Adami is a professor of microbiology and molecular genetics as well as a professor of physics and astronomy. He is doing research at MSU’s Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research that uses high-performance computing to evolve artificial intelligence. iCER provides the cyberinfrastructure for researchers from across academia and industry to perform their computational research. The institute supports multidisciplinary research in all facets of computational sciences and continually works to enhance MSU’s national and international presence and competitive edge in disciplines and research that rely on advanced computing.

iCER is home to the MSU High Performance Computing Center which was established to provide the computational hardware, software, and support to MSU faculty, students and researchers enabling advanced computing. The systems support larger, broader, and more complex computation than ever before. Work that would have taken months or years can now be done in hours or days, significantly shortening time to discovery.
